We thought it was a good idea, eleven years ago, and we still feel as though it's a different kind of memorial – maybe call it America’s Wake. We want to respectfully honor those who died on 9/11/01, and those who have died in the wars since then. There are no speeches, no politics, no entertainment. We quietly sit and listen to the reading of the names of all those whose lives were lost.
